For kindergartens & preschools

Between the pages of a book is a lovely place to be.

Interactive book reading and workshop

I come to your kindergarten group and do a workshop based on a “Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl” book of your choice.

As a native speaker with a professional background in teaching, I know how to create an interactive learning environment that appeals to all senses. I show the children how to do actions for each animal while listening to the story, say the words with different voices, play with flashcards, etc.

After the interactive book reading, I do arts & crafts with the children. For example, we make animals on lolly sticks for playing “I spy”, animals on pegs for playing hide and seek, or finger puppets that we can use to reenact the story.

€ 100.00 per 60-minute session
maximum 20 children/session, minimum booking: 2 sessions

A morning of reading and rhyming

I spend a whole morning at your kindergarten/preschool. You decide whether I go from one group to the next or if children should come to see me in smaller groups.

Similar to the interactive book reading and workshop, I create an interactive learning environment that appeals to all senses. In addition, I play games with the children to practise and consolidate vocabulary in a relaxed environement, e.g. pairs, snap, dominoes. I can also do arts & crafts based on a topic from the books.

€ 400.00 for a full morning (8am-12pm)

Travel expenses are included within a 20 km radius of Krems an der Donau (Austria). A fee will be charged for longer journeys.

"Children are fascinated by Brown Owl’s adventures. They identify with Brown Owl and get to know the English language through simple rhymes and fun stories. The books make learning English fun!"

Marion Zivny, kindergarten teacher

"Children love animals and rhymes – the “Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl” books pick up on this to make English accessible to children in a playful way. The children really enjoy going on adventures with the charming characters in the books. Rachel’s workshops are very varied and engaging. She always has brilliant new ideas and knows how to make the children want to join in."
